“I am deeply captivated by nature, especially the flora and fauna of Oregon and California. Papercuts are like ecosystems. They are fragile and depend on thousands of tiny connections to hold together. But when treated with care, they can be preserved and enjoyed for generations. By exploring natural themes in the delicate media of paper, I hope to draw attention to how stunningly beautiful the natural world can be. And how much it needs our care and respect.”
I also dabble in depictions of cats, dragons, and the occasional human being. I've cut thousands of pieces out of paper. Some papercuts are only a few inches across. The largest was more than six feet.
