I recently had the pleasure of creating a papercut for the fine folks over at NaNoWriMo. It was a really delightful project and I've loved seeing the cut reproduced on so much fun merchandise.
“I am deeply captivated by nature, especially the flora and fauna of Oregon and California. Papercuts are like ecosystems. They are fragile and depend on thousands of tiny connections to hold together. But when treated with care, they can be preserved and enjoyed for generations. By exploring natural themes in the delicate medium of paper, I hope to highlight the stunning beauty and fragility of the natural world.”
I also dabble in depictions of cats, dragons, and the occasional human being. I've cut thousands of pieces out of paper. Some papercuts are only a few inches across. The largest was more than six feet.
